Sometimes the evidence for a solution is clear, but nobody is building it. When our analysis confirms the gap, we develop early-stage products, often technology-driven, that translate evidence into working tools, tested under real-world conditions.

When the evidence points to a solution that should exist but doesn't, we build it ourselves.
Our in-house team designs and develops early-stage digital products — from concept through to working prototype tested in real-world conditions. We're currently building an open-source AI tool for education, as an example of this work in practice.
From prototype to scale
Not every product we build will succeed and that's by design. We test and iterate to learn what works, what doesn't, and why.
For the most promising products, we identify the right pathway to scale — whether that's through a commercial partner, a public body, a charity or another organisation best placed to take it further. Where we remain actively involved, the venture moves into our Scale portfolio.
