The Elevate Great way
Our approach
We create alliances for change – identifying problems and co-developing solutions underpinned by deep research and clear evidence.
Our multi-disciplinary in-house capabilities, investment capital, and the powerful partnerships we convene enable us to address underlying system challenges. The solutions we build are high impact, sometimes high risk, and often high in technical difficulty.
In practice
Our approach is agile and robustly managed through programme management discipline and accountability across the innovation and implementation lifecycle. We bring scientific expertise and strategic innovation to:
Our work is anchored in evidence. We employ a wide range of research techniques, from rapid evidence reviews to statistical data modelling, to identify system points of failure. It’s how we identify the true problem and its root causes.
We convene experts from different sectors and organisations to challenge assumptions and apply systems thinking in practice. By understanding how systems, incentives, and actors interact, we generate actionable insights that drive meaningful change.
Our in-house team of experienced research and insight specialists help us, and our partners answer two critical questions:
What is the true nature of the problem and its underlying root causes?
Where can intervention deliver greatest impact?
We’ve built a powerful in-house capability including full accreditation to The Office for National Statistics (ONS) Secure Research Service, which gives us access and approval to work with sensitive data in a trusted research environment. We deploy this at pace and widely with partners in the discovery phase.
Sometimes the evidence uncovers a clear need for a solution, but no one is addressing it. When our analysis identifies a critical gap, we develop and test early-stage solutions, whether that is a new digital tool, practical guidance, a delivery model, or many other forms of intervention.
Using systems mapping to build a deep understanding of the forces that shape outcomes, we identify where early intervention can have the greatest effect. We can then focus on preventative opportunities with the greatest potential for impact.
Our goal is to work with partners from the outset to co-create solutions and accelerate impact. By bringing together complementary expertise and resources, we can move faster and achieve more than our individual capabilities.
In many cases, effective innovations already exist. Through our collaborations, we identify promising approaches and explore how they can be strengthened and scaled, sometimes through joint development, investment, or other partnership models.
We have developed capabilities which underpin what makes Elevate Great different. We don’t just admire the problem; we bring innovation and collaboration together to build the solution. Our team brings expertise to the Design and Development stages drawn from successful projects across sectors, countries and globally, including:
Behavioural and Data Science
AI-integrated solution design
Predictive and financial impact modelling
Data-to-impact translation
Front-end innovation
Rapid prototyping and design
Evidence guides us at every stage. We use robust, iterative approaches to assess solutions’ feasibility and impact in real-world settings.
We collaborate with organisations and practitioners who bring additional deep sector and system expertise and share our openness to innovation and a willingness to embrace new ways of working.
This agile approach is anchored with a laser focus on evidence and outcomes. If a potential solution doesn’t work, we need to understand why, share that learning, and ensure resources and investment are focussed on what can be scaled up to deliver real change.
The Elevate Great Way is a commitment to delivering lasting systemic change. We design, develop, test and learn what works – and we join forces to make a difference to as many lives we can.
We build alliances through partnerships bringing together key players across the ecosystem. Together we work to scale up implementation of ideas that are evidenced to work. These partnerships enable us to deliver a wide range of solutions, from influencing policy change to embedding new operational processes.
Our multi-disciplinary team has the expertise and a proven track record of delivering change for UK and international-leading businesses, central government, local systems, and non-profit organisations. Through strategic investment, collaboration, and in-house capabilities, we support the scale-up of proven ideas and practical solutions that can create lasting systemic change.
Invest
We identify and invest in opportunities with clear potential to make a difference. Our approach can incorporate forging new aligned partnerships with purpose, scaling innovation, or leveraging our in-house specialisation for designing new solutions.
Everything we invest in is guided by evidence. We combine research, data, and expertise from different sectors and disciplines to understand what works and what could be improved through strategic focus. We’re laser focused on prevention and early intervention to transform outcomes - identifying opportunities to act sooner, reduce inequality at source, and provide better life-course outcomes for people and communities.
We invest flexibly and collaboratively, using both capital and capability to accelerate change at a system level. Sometimes the solution to a specific system problem we have identified has already been developed – and is proven. Our investment flexibility means we can make the biggest impact therefore by adding new funding to what works to scale-up.
That’s why we don’t run a formal application process – we look for opportunities, people and partnerships with the potential to create lasting impact to specific system-level challenges.
